(Missouri), 218-23, 1894.“This was the first report in America and probably world-wide in which there was a successful evacuation of a traumatic hemopericardium and a suture placed in the pericardium. Dalton’s patient was operated on in September, 1891… The patient survived his ordeal and was discharged from the hospital in three and a half months” (Rutkow).
