Rhinoplastic operation.Bost. med. surg. J., 16, 69-79, 1837.The first rhinoplasty reported in the United States. For this Warren used the Hindu method, grafting the flap from the forehead of the patient. Warren reported the first use of the Italian or Tagliacotian method (grafting the flap from the arm) in the U.S. in Bost. med. surg. J., 1840, 22, 261-69. The title of the 1840 paper was "Rhinoplastic operations. With some remarks on the autoplastic methods usually adopted for the restoration of parts lost by accident or disease".
