The Institute for the International History of Medicine (“IIHM,” “we,” “us”) operates the Garrison-Morton-Norman catalog at historyofmedicine.com. Personal and scholarly browsing is welcome. These terms cover that public catalog only.

Allowed use

You may search, read, and cite bibliographic records for research, teaching, and other non-commercial study. Linking to individual entries is encouraged.

What you may not do

You may not systematically download, scrape, or mirror the site. Titles, authors, and years are bibliographic facts. The editorial annotations are copyrighted. You may quote them for teaching, research, and other uses allowed by fair use (or fair dealing). Republishing the annotations, or a substantial portion of them, requires written permission.

Automated bulk collection, including sequential harvesting of entry pages, is not permitted. We rate-limit and may block traffic that looks like a dump of the catalog.

Licensed reuse

If you need a dataset, bulk access, or to reprint annotations, email the address on the contact page.
