An essay on Egyptian mummies; with observations on the art of embalming among the ancient Egyptians.Phil. Trans., 115, 269-316, 1825.Granville was the first to perform a dissection of an Egyptian mummy. He reported histological observations of samples from a twenty-seventh dynasty Egyptian mummy that he dissected, and he illustrated dissected views of an ovarian cyst from that mummy.
